Injury during crane lifting operations

A blind lift was conducted to position a mini container on the weather deck.

 After landing, the lifting bridle became trapped inside an adjacent container.

 During retrieval, the crane rope accelerated upwards unexpectedly. 

The container “skipped” across the deck and struck the load handler, who remained in the line of fire.
