IP struck by water from fire monitor

A power outage and low instrument air pressure set off an oscillating fire monitor, filling

the deck drains. Technicians attempted to redirect the monitor – successful for a period

of time. The monitor started oscillating in a non-standard arc, resulting in water impinging

on a control cabinet. The IP attempted to shut-down the monitor and was struck by water

rebounding off the cabinet. IP was sent onshore for assessment, returning to work 5 days

later.
