Slip on engine room stairs

A crew member was transferring a 15kg drum of coolant from the main deck to the Engine Room via the main stairwell. During the transit he lost his balance, slipped, and fell several steps.

The crew member had been holding onto the handrail and safety footwear was not identified as being a contributing factor.

After the incident he felt pain in his arm, ankle and side of his body and was given paracetamol. He continued with his duties as normal with no further incident.
