Footage has been shared of an offshore installation on a social media platform, believed to have been filmed using a face mounted personal electronic device. Footage was recorded on a helicopter flight and outside of accommodation module which is out with mobilisation & control of work procedures. Use of Smart Phones or Other Filming devices offshore These devices must not be worn, activated, or used in flight or offshore outside of the accommodation, unless authorised or permitted. This includes any form of filming, photography, or live streaming using smart glasses, smart phones, or other devices, particularly where content could be posted on social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram or Facebook. Filming or sharing footage of offshore assets without expressed permission is a potential security breach and could also breach contractual obligations with clients and regulators. Smart Glasses shall not be permitted offshore.
