Focal Points are the primary link between Step Change in Safety and each member organisation. Nominated by their company, they help strengthen communication, encourage engagement and ensure that information flows effectively in both directions.

By sharing updates, promoting opportunities and providing feedback, Focal Points play an important role in connecting their organisation to shared insight, initiatives and industry-wide progress.

How We Support Focal Points

  • Provides regular updates on initiatives, events and resources
  • Creates opportunities for connection and shared discussion with fellow Focal Points
  • Encourages feedback to help shape future priorities and improve member support

Role in Practice - Focal Points typically

  • Share relevant updates within their organisation
  • Promote awareness of available resources and events
  • Encourage colleagues to engage with Step Change in Safety initiatives
  • Provide feedback and insight from their organisation

Participation is voluntary and designed to support, not add burden. The aim is to make connection practical, meaningful and valuable for both the individual and their organisation.
