In September 2018, Mental Health First Aid instructor, Annette Thomas, delivered two pilot courses for Step Change in Safety that were very well received. Feedback from the sessions included; “glad this is finally being talked about”; “we need more information and support”; “prevention is better than cure”; “this is something everyone needs to know about”; “companies need to take notice.”Throughout 2019, we ran several sold-out “Mental Health Champion” one-day courses and, given the positive feedback and high demand for these sessions, Step Change in Safety is increasing the amount taking place this year.
