Thursday 17 June 2021 OGUK and Step Change in Safety launch COVID safety communications, as offshore worker numbers rise The series of graphics were designed to address the common findings from the industry’s recent COVID-19 outbreak investigation. OGUK and Step Change in Safety have launched a series of posters and social media visuals to maximise COVID-19 safety offshore. The series of graphics were designed to address the common findings from the industry’s recent COVID-19 outbreak investigation. It is the belief that these consistent, industry-wide messages will not only reduce complacency, but will inform those who may not have been offshore since the pandemic started, to help reduce covid (and other infectious diseases) transmission offshore. This comes after OGUK announced that the numbers of personnel working offshore has now returned to pre-COVID-19 reduction levels for the first time since the national lockdown of March 2020. Commenting, OGUK Health, Safety and Environment Advisor Tricia Schooling said: “Throughout the pandemic, the safety of our workforce has been our paramount concern. As we see the number of personnel working offshore increase, communications like this becomes increasingly more important to ensure the safety of our workforce. “We continue to encourage colleagues offshore to respect social distancing where possible, follow the guidelines in place and maintain best hand santisation practice.” Commenting, Step Change in Safety Head of Communications Kirstin Gove said: “The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on the way that we all work and has made us reassess how we protect people to help minimise them contracting similar viruses in the future. “As we move forward in these unprecedented times, we will continue to share examples of how different organisations are reminding colleagues of the guidelines so that, as an industry, we can continue to work together to protect our workforce.” FREE DOWNLOADS: jpg COVID-19: Don't delay in reporting symptoms image for social media View Resource jpg COVID-19: 'Tested' isn't Covid-free image for social media View Resource jpg COVID-19: 'Act like you have it' image for social media View Resource jpg COVID-19: 'Think Hand Hygiene' image for social media View Resource jpg COVID-19: 'Maintain social distancing' image for social media View Resource pdf COVID-19: 'Tested' isn't Covid Free poster View Resource pdf COVID-19: 'Don't delay in reporting symptoms' poster View Resource pdf COVID-19: 'Act like you have it' poster View Resource pdf COVID-19: 'Maintain social distancing' poster View Resource pdf COVID-19: "Think Hand Hygiene" poster View Resource For an extensive range of safety videos, downloads, best practice guidance and recorded webinars, please visit the COVID-19 section of our website: COVID-19
