Personal leadership and accountability - everyone is accountable for their own safety and for the safety of others around them. Therefore, at all stages of the job no matter your role, we need to take personal accountability for safety and be seen as a safety leader. By doing this, we can play our part to stop incidents occurring and keep each other safe.

This slide pack - available below - has been developed to help people recognise and discuss the importance of personal leadership and accountability. The slide pack is intended to start a conversation and allow individuals and teams to reflect on when and how they can demonstrate personal safety leadership.

It can be used in team or safety meetings ideally led by an elected safety representative or team lead. The pack takes around 30 mins. This resource looks at how we are all safety leaders and at all stages, in all roles we can play our part to stop incidents occurring.
